POSITION REPORTING

  1. Sectorization of Air Traffic within the Bangkok Terminal Control Area between the hours of 0100-1300 daily is divided into East and West Sectors: 

    a. In the East Sector on the bearing 031-210, which encompasses ATS Routes W1, A1, G467, R468, G463/G592, R201, A464/B469/W19, and G458, aircraft are to contact Bangkok Approach Control on frequency 119.1 MHz or 284.0 MHz. 

    b. The remaining airspace in the West Sector, which encompasses ATS Routes A349/R468, G463, A1, A464, W9, W21 and R474, aircraft are to contact Bangkok Approach Control on frequency 125.5 MHz or 255.6 MHz. 

    c. Outside those hours, Bangkok Approach will revert to a single sector operation utilizing frequency 119.1 MHz or 284.0 MHz (Aip Enr 2.1)

  1. Caution - Pilots Entering The Bangkok Flight Information Region from the Indian Ocean areas should note austere communications among Air Traffic Service enroute agencies may delay the passage of flight plan or flight clearance information. It is advisable to consider all charted reporting points immediately prior to Flight Information Region entry as COMPULSORY. If unable to make direct contact with Bangkok Area Control Centre ten minutes prior to these points, relay altitude, MACH number, position and fix estimate through the appropriate Thailand GCI facility.
